Job Summary

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Directs and coordinates through subordinate supervisory personnel activities concerned with production and delivery of products utilizing knowledge of products and procedures and capabilities of machines and equipment.

  • Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards develop budget and cost controls and to obtain data regarding types quantities specifications and delivery dates of products ordered.

  • Plans and directs production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.

  • Coordinates production activities with procurement maintenance and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of manpower and equipment.

  • Reviews and analyzes production quality control maintenance and operational reports to determine causes of non-conformity with product specifications or operating or production problems. Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.

  • Revises production schedules and priorities as a result of customer demands equipment failure and operating problems.

  • Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.

  • Directs and coordinates through subordinate supervisory personnel in all warehouses LTL trucking maintenance shipping and receiving.

  • Administers discipline and has hiring/firing authority.

  • Responsible for safety health and environmental issues in area of responsibility.

  • Responsible for acknowledging revisions to General Policies and Procedures Manual Operations as a designated manual holder.

  • Authority to approve all purchases in area of responsibility.

  • Monitors and coordinates disposition of non-conforming materials.

  • Participates in Management Review as member of top management.

  • Overall responsibility for inventory levels maintained at site.

  • Participates in customer plant visits.

  • Oversees inventory requisition and maintenance.

  • Responsible for overseeing training records maintenance.

  • Responsible for operations personnel actions relating to hiring discipline allocation and training.

  • Has the responsibility of insuring that all of the operational needs of the Region are being met.

  • Has the responsibility of insuring that the needs of the Regions customers are being met in a timely and safe manner.

  • Has the responsibility of insuring that our operational procedures are being followed.

  • Has the responsibility (along with the SRQ Managers) of insuring that our facilities are being operated in a safe and efficient manner.

Your Profile

Education & Experience

  • Skills commensurate with a college degree in an engineering or technical field or equivalent.

  • Five to ten years plant management experience in a chemical or related industry.

  • Thorough understanding of the importance of customer service and the ability to work cooperatively with other branches departments and personnel in meeting customer needs.

  • Ability to interface well with customers.

  • Computer skills sufficient to efficiently perform the job requirements.

  • Ability to understand and comply with all company policies and procedures pertinent to the operation of the Branch.

  • Ability to understand and carry out process descriptions applicable to the job.

  • Ability to interface and communicate well. (Oral and written).
