Tower Hill School is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Head Coach for Varsity Girls Tennis starting with the 2025-2026 academic year.

Tower Hill strives to build upon a competitive varsity girls tennis program that has achieved a high level of success in both team and individual competitions. Candidates are expected to have a thorough understanding of skill development and utilize coaching strategies that motivate players and build a positive team addition to coaching responsibilities and team management the head coach assumes general oversight of sub-varsity and middle school teams coordinates the girls tennis coaching staff and is expected to contribute in admission functions when necessary. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate the ways in which inclusive and equitable practices inform their approach to coaching and team building within the program.

This position is compensated with a stipend and coaches are required to abide by the rules and regulations established by the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association as well as all Tower Hill School policies and procedures

Additional Qualifications/Qualities/Responsibilities:

• Three or more years of previous tennis coaching experience at the high school club and/or college level.
• Well organized and effective communication skills.
• Desire to mentor student athletes and serve as a positive role model.
• Strong collaboration skills with fellow coaches and administrators.
• Ability to promote and generate excitement for the sport of wrestling.
• Support of student athletes efforts to pursue additional athletic opportunities at Tower Hill.
• Providing outreach to prospective student athletes.
• Assisting in supporting student athletes in the college recruiting process if they have the desire to compete at the next level.
• Attendance at all required professional development opportunities.
• Completing and/or assisting with all administrative coaching duties pertaining to practices and competitions including but not limited to: management of all team equipment distribution and collection of uniforms daily attendance roster management match-day operations score reporting and awareness of travel logistics.
