We Offer
- Competitive Pay: $35.50 per hour (trip rated); approximately $85200 $95700 per year
- Pension: $4.05 per hour (approx $9720 per year) 100% paid by Arrow

Responsibilities
As a professional driver with Arrow Transportation Systems Inc working for the Chilliwack Mining Branch you will have the opportunity to haul B train trailers and operate various equipment from tandem to tri drive trucks. We primarily haul Biowaste (Human waste) from various Water Treatments facilities in Chilliwack Vancouver & Kamloops to various drop sites in Princeton Kamloops & Clinton and we backhaul Ore (Concentrate) from Princeton Mine & Mount Polley Mine to Pembina Port in North Vancouver. - Oversee cargo handling and secure loads including equipment preparation application of safe practices compliance with applicable Acts andRegulations.
- Perform pre and post andenroute trip inspections on equipmentoperated ensuring safetyroadworthinessand regulatory compliance.
- Comply withapplicable legislation including safe operation load securement drivers hours of service occupational health and safety transportation of dangerous goods and weights and dimensions.
- Complywithall rules and regulations protocols andestablishedmetrics.
- Efficiently maneuver truckand trailer(s)into loading or unloading positions following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
- Mayoperateloading equipment as per role requirements.
- Check mobile equipment () to ensure that mechanical and safety equipment is in good working order.
- Report vehicle defects accidents traffic violations or damage to the vehicles to the relevant supervisor.
- Report all safety hazards or conditionsencounteredat load unloadyardand shop sites.
- RecordMaintainand Check all relevant paperwork (i.e. bill of lading) and documentation to ensure that it is complete andaccurate.
- Operate equipment such as truck cab computers CB radios and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases supervisors or other drivers.
- Complete electronicand/or manuallogs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status following applicable provincial and federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with the public customers and co-workers.
- Assistin loading and unloading of trucks.
- Perform periodic inspections before during and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure.
- Ensure that material is properly protected from the outdoor loads may be a requirement.
- Ensure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of truck is cleaned up.
- Provide feedback to supervisor/dispatchregardingcustomer problems mechanical problems or delivery problems.
- Ensure that all customersco-workersand the public are dealt with professionally and with respect.
- Train others whenrequired.
You Possess
- A positive attitude
- Class 1 truck drivers license
- Drivers abstract with no suspensions
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- At least two job references
- B train experience is required
- Previous winter and mountain driving experience required
- Loader operation experience is an asset
