Job Summary
Job Overview
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing developing implementing and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment in accordance with project specifications and engineering standards. The role requires hands-on experience in analyzing mechanical components executing engineering projects conducting inspections ensuring system reliability and coordinating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical knowledge problem-solving skills and expertise in handling mechanical operations within industrial construction manufacturing or oil & gas environments in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
Design analyze and optimize mechanical systems components and equipment based on engineering requirements and project specifications.
Prepare and review technical drawings mechanical layouts and documentation using engineering software and relevant tools.
Conduct feasibility studies risk assessments and equipment sizing to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
Oversee installation testing commissioning and maintenance of mechanical systems and machinery.
Monitor and troubleshoot mechanical issues evaluate root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with electrical civil fabrication and project management teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Conduct inspections quality checks and performance analysis to ensure compliance with mechanical and safety standards.
Support procurement activities by evaluating technical specifications vendor proposals and material approvals.
Prepare technical reports BOQs project schedules and progress documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to Saudi engineering regulations company policies and HSE requirements across all mechanical activities.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design project execution maintenance or industrial operations.
Experience working in sectors such as oil & gas manufacturing construction or heavy engineering is preferred.
Knowledge of Saudi engineering standards and regulatory compliance will be an advantage.
Skills Required
Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles thermodynamics hydraulics and material science.
Proficiency in designing and analyzing components using AutoCAD SolidWorks Ansys or similar software.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings P&IDs technical specifications and manuals.
Practical experience in mechanical installation commissioning preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication documentation and project coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks within project timelines.
