The Department of Political Science seeks a temporary Adjunct Faculty member for the Spring 2026 semester.
The College of New Jerseys Department of Political Science is seeking a dynamic adjunct instructor to teach our undergraduate Junior Tutorial in Political Science Spring 2026 semester.
Course Description:
POL 390: Tutorial in Political Science Mondays 3:306:20 p.m.
An intensive study under close faculty supervision of a particular topic or problem in political science (of the instructors choosing). Students engage in extensive reading for several weeks before choosing a related research topic through which they learn to conduct high level research and produce the various parts of a social science article-length paper with the guidance of the instructor. This is in preparation for the more independent capstone course of their senior year.

The instructor is free to make use of the existing syllabi revise them or create their own.
The course will ideally be offered in person at TCNJs campus in Ewing NJ.
Minimum qualifications include:
PhD or Masters degree from an accredited institution in political science/government
Prior college-level teaching experience is preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
