Responsibilities
- Completes opening and closing checklists.
- Refers to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
- Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes cooking methods quality standards and kitchen rules policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the preparation of all foods during an assigned shift in accordance with company specifications and menu standards.
- Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work station and area.
- Reports equipment and food quality problems to supervisor in a timely manner.
- Informs supervisor immediately of product shortages.
- Uses all kitchen equipment following proper procedures and training.
- Sets up preps and prepares station for daily operation.
- Uses all kitchen equipment following proper procedures and training.
- Stocks and maintains par levels as well as workstations in the work area.
- Communicates with cooks relaying food usage and quality control.
- Checks for proper temperature and time control for all items on the line.
- Follows proper HAACP guidelines when handling preparing storing or stocking food items.
- Follows standards for merchandising stocking rotating and storing all products.
- Prepares and expedites guest orders.
- Operates balances and reconciles cash till and Point of Sale (POS).
- Maintains confidential daily record of tips as applicable.
- May assist other food and beverage staff as needed.
- Follows all department and casino policies procedures and regulations as required.
- Ensures compliance with Tribal State Federal and NIGC regulations.
- Ensures control/protection of company assets as applicable.
- Duties responsibilities requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed.
- Work nights weekends and holidays as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Exceptional guest service skills required.
- One to three months experience in kitchen/food preparation or equivalent combination of education training and/or experience.
Certificates Licenses Regulations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and Washington State.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Health Card (Food Worker Card).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement daily with sedentary work occasional bending and crouching. This is a 24 hour 7 days a week work operation.
