Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Director of Behavioral Health for an exciting full-time opportunity in Fort Walton Beach/Destin FL. The Director will provide leadership and operational oversight of the Behavioral Health Unit ensuring high-quality patient care staff development regulatory compliance and efficient unit operations.
Key Responsibilities
Implement evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and clinical outcomes
Manage variation in clinical practice to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Ensure compliance with accreditation regulatory and internal benchmarks
Oversee equipment maintenance and regulatory compliance
Coordinate patient throughput admissions and discharge planning
Develop policies and procedures promoting quality safety and efficiency
Direct nursing practice and unit operations to meet patient and family needs
Provide leadership to enhance patient experience and satisfaction
Foster a positive organizational culture aligned with hospital vision and values
Identify training and development opportunities for staff; provide coaching and feedback
Collaborate with administrative and medical leadership to expand or enhance services
Participate in annual budgeting staffing management and expense monitoring
Required Qualifications
5 years recent (within last year) acute care inpatient Behavioral Health Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager experience
Bachelors Degree
Active RN License
BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) within 30 days
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days
Fingerprint clearance
