Discover Impactful Work:

We are currently seeking a Data Scientist to our Data Science Development team. Our Data Scientists are responsible to develop custom analysis tools and methods to enable data driven innovation and decisions. The team is involved in both product and process development and is responsible for data related product design decisions data analysis and reporting method and tool development etc. Their goal is to ensure good study design appropriate analytical methods and data driven decisions in all steps leading to high quality products and processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop methods and tools for data analysis for external and internal use.
  • Engage in the creation of modern bioinformatic and data analytics solutions.
  • Development and improvement of methods to support our products throughout the product life cycle.
  • Assist in quality control and troubleshooting of data issues.
  • Monitoring and analysis of QC parameters to ensure quality in products and processes.
  • Provide study design for research and advanced data analysis skills to other departments.

Qualifications

  • MSc or PhDin Bioinformatics Biostatistics Computer Science Molecular Biology or similar
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant industry (for MSc) or academic experience (for PhDs) of advanced data analysis and statistics
  • Experience in applying data analysis methods in medical or biological research using qPCR or NGS-data.
  • Experience of processing and visualizing large amount of biological knowledge data
  • Strong programming skills in R. Skills in other methods/languages such as Python or SQL is merited
  • Experience in R package development Git and shiny development is advantageous
  • Ability to explain advanced technical topics and considerations to non-technical peers.
  • Ability to work across different teams and subject areas.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills both oral and written.
