| Job Summary: |
Ensure the quality safety and compliance of all building maintenance and construction projects. This position is responsible for meticulously reviewing and verifying that each project adheres to established standards local building codes contractual specifications and organizational policies. This role will identify defects recommend adjustments to increase production processes. This role shall make periodic inspections throughout the 162d Morris Air National Guard Davis Monthan and Ft. Huachuca to track and improve existing facility maintenance program work orders time management current and future facility improvement projects assist in design/planning phases of construction or remodels capture and document installation of real property pieces of equipment (RIPE). This role shall identify areas of improvement and participate in continuous improvement projects assist in creating maintaining and updating quality control documents such as standard operating procedures (SOP) company policies and procedures throughout the production area. This role is critical in ensuring safety and efficiency standards contributing to high-quality craftsmanship.
Actively participates in promoting a continuous improvement workplace culture through the use of teamwork root cause problem solving standard operating procedures and review of performance metrics.

Responsibilities include:
Perform daily inspections on craftsman completed work orders and recurring work program (RWP) to ensure work is done at the highest quality and completed in a timely manner. Document all findings and provide corrective action needed to make improvements resulting in increased performance. Utilize root cause analysis to effectively ensure quality of craftsmanship installation.
Verify that products and installation meet industry standards company policies and regulatory requirements. Work with production teams to suggest changes that enhance quality and efficiency track and monitor overall project timelines to ensure mission success. Oversee production stages to ensure consistent quality and identify areas for improvement. Understand and interpret technical drawings specifications and quality control procedures. Review or check the work products of others to ensure conformance to standards.
Create and enforce effective inspection procedures to optimize quality assurance. Address quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrences. Train staff on quality control procedures and standards resulting in continuous improvement. Keep detailed records of inspections tests and findings including any deviations or defects. Identify areas of improvement and participate in continuous improvement projects.
Observing and reporting on construction activities in specific areas of assignment these areas include but are not limited to: civil mechanical electrical plumbing and facility maintenance. Conduct various inspections to assess job performance functionality tests to ensure installation of RIPE is in compliance is with industry standards time management enforcement of company policies and procedures.
Generate reports summarizing inspection results identifying issues and recommend corrective actions using Microsoft Office Suite.

Any combination of training and experience that meet the knowledge skills and abilities (KSAs) or 3-5 years work experience as a Quality Inspector role or related field.

Special Job Requirements:
This position requires possession of and ability to retain a current valid Arizona state-issued drivers license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R.12.)
In State travel required.
Individual is required to pass a criminal background investigation & must meet all eligibility requirements to enter other federal installations such as Davis Monthan Air Force Base and Fort Huachuca.
Candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal background investigation as well as possess the ability to achieve a favorable Tier 1 investigation for the purpose of obtaining/maintaining a Common Access Card (CAC) within one year of hire.
