JOB PURPOSE

Our Starter Generator technicians use knowledge skills experience and good judgement to perform maintenance repair and overhaul tasks on assigned aircraft starter generator components to produce a reliable quality airworthy product at a budgeted cost and turn time while providing the highest quality workmanship for all work accomplished. Previous aviation experience is valued but not required.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions include:

  1. Use drill press lathe soldering iron to troubleshoot and repair aviation starter generator components.
  2. Read and interpret schematics and technical orders
  3. Complete all required paperwork related to repairs performed
  4. Maintain a clean and orderly work area on a daily basis

Ideal candidates will offer:

  1. Previous experience in a mechanical oriented position.
  2. Previous experience working with starter generators preferred.
  3. Ability to work in a team environment.
  4. Strong attention to detail and pride in performing quality work.
  5. Ability to read and/or hear and comprehend written and/or verbal instructions provided in English.
  6. Visual acuity and manual dexterity to work with and on small tools and parts in a bench environment; push/pull up to 80 lbs; lift up to 50 lbs routinely.

Experience: At least 1 plus year of related experience as a Technician or related field preferred.
