Job Summary

We are currently accepting applications/resumes for an EXPERIENCED Diesel Mechanic for the Thibodaux LA and surrounding areas. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:

Job Scope:
- Work on equipment as needed
- Ability to operate heavy equipment.
Required Skills:
- MUST have DIESEL MECHANIC experience (5 years required)
- Hydraulic/Pneumatic experience preferred but not necessary
- Strong technical aptitude
- Problem-solving skills
- Diagnostic skills
- Wide knowledge base
- Must be able to Operate Heavy Equipment. (Excavator Dozer Skid Steer)
- MUST be able to use hand tools efficiently
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ideal candidate will be working on heavy equipment
- Ideal candidate willinspect keep up and repairdieselengines for company vehicle/equipment
- Ideal Candidate will be responsible for routine maintenance such as changing oil checking batteries and lubricating equipment and parts
- Follow a checklist of inspection procedures
- Must be able tounderstand the vehicles electrical system engine and all of its working parts.
- Repair or replace malfunctioning components parts and other mechanical or electrical equipment
- Test drive vehicles/equipment to diagnose malfunctions
- Test-drive vehicles/equipment to ensure that they run smoothly
- Heavy Equipment Operator duties from time to time.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
- Must have good endurance
- Will be required to bend stoop squat crouch kneel and crawl to perform task
- Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
Documents Required:
- Drivers License/Identification Card
- Social Security Card/Birth Certificate
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to pass drug screen
Must be able to provide own PPE (hard hat steel toes safety glasses gloves)
Pay:
- Depends on Experience.
- Weekly Pay
- Pay schedule: Monday - Sunday
Schedule:
- 10-12 hour days (with weather permitting)
- Monday - Friday (Weekends as needed)
Duration of Job: Temp to hire
