WHAT YOULL DO
As aTrade Development and Operational Lead for Sustainability Regulatory you will play a key role in interpreting current and upcoming sustainability-related regulatory frameworks that may impact H&Ms business activities particularly in relation to international and local trade flows. Your responsibilities will include updating internal global processes to enable seamless compliant implementation of sustainable regulatory frameworks across our global trade operations. You will help us deliver exceptional customer experiences while staying ahead in a rapidly evolving trade landscape with increasing sustainability-related requirements.
In this role you will bring deep expertise in sustainability regulations affecting international trade and customs advising and supporting strategic initiatives operational excellence and regulatory compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide regulatory advise on sustainability topics across strategic developmental and operational areas where an area of focus will be environmental and human rights-related aspects connected trade of goods.
- Define develop and follow-up global Trade standards and guidelines based on best practice with a focus on ensuring compliance with relevant sustainability regulations such as EUDR CBAM ESPR DPP FLR and similar frameworks.
- Monitor developments in sustainability regulations and assess their global impact on H&M Group
- Monitor and optimize data and KPIs related to Trade&Customs identify trends and highlighting opportunities and issues
- Collaborate across functions including production logistics tech legal public Affairs and other relevant teams to ensure seamless implementation and full compliance with sustainability regulations.
- Ensure compliance to latest legal requirements in Trade processes particularly within the sustainability regulations area by continuously monitoring and driving internal controls/audits and by close collaboration with Regional Trade teams
- Actively stay up-to-date on global logistics end-to-end operational status KPIs issues and risks related to sustainability regulations and assess their global impact on H&M Group
WHO YOU ARE
- You hold a university degree in a relevant field such as International Trade Law Sustainability Environmental Studies or similar.
- You have solid experience working in the field of Global and International trade with particular focus on sustainability regulations such as EUDR CBAM ESPR DPP FLD and similar.
- Skilled at supporting strategic initiatives and ensuring operational and regulatory compliance.
- A strong networker with existing relevant network of contacts in the field of Global Trade and other key stakeholders.
- Analytical and structured with excellent planning and prioritization skills.
- A clear and inspiring communicator who brings others onboard with confidence.
- Persistent and solution-oriented taking ownership to overcome challenges.
- Proactive and results-driven unafraid to challenge the status quo.
- Well-organized and a forward-looking thinker.
