The Family Medicine Physician will specialize in caring for the physical mental and emotional well-being of their patients and their families. They are trained to care for all ages from children age 5 to senior adults. Because family practitioners are trained to treat the whole person these specialists diagnose and treat the full range of problems people bring to their most cases a referral from a family doctor is not necessary to schedule an appointment with a Kelsey-Seybold specialist but the family doctor is an important part of the multispecialty team. The family doctor coordinates care with specialty physicians and other members of a patients care team. Primary Responsibilities:See patients in an outpatient setting Monday-Friday from 8a 5p to include new patients as well as corporate physicalsParticipate in the Family Medicine Call single call group. On-Call for the group is about once per month either on the weekday or weekend day. The weekend day is shared with another physician. Call consists of answering phone calls from patients of physicians in the call group Annual physicals and wellness examsPreventive medicine Youll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested Qualifications:Medical Degree (MD DO)Accredited Family Medicine Residency trainingLicensed or willing to be licensed in the State of TexasBoard Certified or Board EligibleDrivers License and access to a reliable transportation Preferred Qualification: Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
