We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support and maintain the customers network infrastructure in Penang with a strong focus on Cisco switches Palo Alto firewalls and coordination with the Taiwan HQ team.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot maintain and support Cisco switches.
Manage and maintain Palo Alto firewalls.
Perform configuration tuning and upgrades on network devices.
Monitor network performance to ensure stability and high availability.
Coordinate with Taiwan HQ for configuration adjustments changes and escalations.
Document network configurations changes and incident resolutions.
Provide onsite support in line with the customers working hours.

Requirements

Must-have:

Minimum 4 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar network-focused role.
Hands-on experience with Cisco switch troubleshooting and maintenance.
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewall troubleshooting and maintenance.
Able to take over responsibilities immediately with minimal training.
Good communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin) for coordination with Taiwan HQ.
Willing and able to work onsite in Penang following customer working hours.
Independent proactive and able to handle issues with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-have:

Experience in an enterprise networking or managed services environment.
Knowledge of routing protocols (e.g. OSPF BGP).
Familiarity with VPNs VLANs and network security best practices.
Exposure to network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP or Palo Alto Networks certifications.
