Job Description
The CT Technologist performs high-quality computed tomography procedures in accordance with physician orders departmental standards and safety protocols. The role requires strong technical ability attention to detail and the capability to support a fast-paced imaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CT imaging procedures per physician orders following departmental and industry standards.
Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment with proficiency and safety.
Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures including proper positioning and shielding.
Review and verify patient information exam orders and prior imaging before scanning.
Follow radiation safety principles and maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Collaborate with radiologists nurses and other clinical staff to ensure optimal workflow and patient care.
Maintain equipment cleanliness report malfunctions promptly and assist with quality assurance tasks.
Manage imaging data within the PACS/RIS systems and complete accurate documentation.
Preferred Experience
Required Qualifications
A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
Active New York State License/Registration in Radiologic Technology.
Minimum 1 year of CT or MRI experience as a radiologic technologist.
