3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship required. 1 year Paramedic experience in EMS or Fire Dept preferred
EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required or
LP - Licensed Paramedic
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required and
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire required and
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (ED Only) within 60 days of hire required.

What You Will Do
Provides Safe Patient CareUnder Physician Delegation:
Administers IV fluid without additives saline flush IV antibiotics all IV medications excluding controlled and RSI medications. ACLS drugs (including drips) using barcode medication verification (BMV) during medication administrations. All IM and oral medications excluding controlled drugs. Plans the care of the patient
Completes accurate documentation in the electronic health record
Provides consistent attention to airway intake elimination sleep rest mobility and hygiene needs
Applies antiembolic stockings and sequential compression devices
Cervical collar management
External defibrillation
Nasal cannula or oxygen mask application
Oral airway insertion and removal
Ultrasound-guided peripheral IV Access
Draw blood from ports
Other duties as assigned by RN
