The Eden Surgery islooking for an experienced NVQ 2 level dispenser to join our friendly village GP practices in Hatfield Heath and Hatfield Broad Oak.This is to cover maternity leave for 1 year potentially longer. The post is for 30 hours per week over 4 days and we can consider a job share.
Occasional overtime opportunities to help cover annual leave.
Reporting to our dispensary manager you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Process all relevant prescriptions and repeat prescriptions
- Pick and check prescriptions in line with our SOPs
- Collect all due prescription charges and ensure that the patient declaration on the reverse of the FP10 is duly filled in and signed by the patient
- Answer and deal withdispensary phone enquiries
- Liaise with patients on a daily basis
- Sort and dispose of unwanted/returned medication.
- Any other duties to assist in the smooth day to day running of the dispensary and surgery as directed by the dispensary manager
If you are an experienced dispenser looking for an exciting new role then wed love to hear from you.
You will have the following skills and experience:
- You will have a NVQ Level 2 Dispensary or equivalent pharmacy services qualification.
- Excellent clinical and medication knowledge.
- Understanding and experience of working as a dispenser in GP practice setting.
- Excellent patient facing inter-personal communication skills.
With two long established surgeries located in Hatfield Heath and Hatfield Broad Oak The Eden Surgeries provides primary care services for a patient population of approximately 10000 people providing approx 4000 clinical appointments each month.
