Position: Operations / Production Support Engineer

Duration: Long Term Contract
Mandatory Skills
- Bilingual Japanese and English (Business level required)
- 5 years of Operations / Production Support experience including P1/P2 incident management root cause analysis and stakeholder communication
- Hands-on experience with:
- AWS (EKS CloudWatch)
- MongoDB
- Monitoring tools such as Datadog (or similar)
- Basic scripting or automation skills (Python or Java)
- Familiar with tools like JIRA and PagerDuty
- Experience with DevOps / CI-CD pipelines (GitLab Jenkins etc.)
- Knowledge of Kubernetes or ElasticSearch
- Exposure to AI/ML operations
- Experience working in global or cross-functional teams
Roles and Responsibilities
Act as a technical leader within the Operations team to develop next-generation telematics and connected systems enhancing key infrastructure services such as security availability and performance.
Guide team members on application support best practices.
Develop procedures and runbooks for operational and security aspects of the platform.
Demonstrated expertise in AWS MongoDB Datadog (or similar tools) and Python/Java.
Troubleshoot customer issues as needed documenting details in JIRA and the PagerDuty on-call system.
Review and triage escalated service and support requests.
Utilize DevOps automation tools including GitLab build jobs.
Handle ad-hoc data and report requests from various functional teams.
Provide on-call support for P1 issues during weekends and holidays on a rotation basis.
