Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an RN you will perform patient assessments and provide direct patient care administering treatments and medications under general supervision. You are responsible for documenting all assessments observations and interventions.
Every day you will instruct patients and families on treatments demonstrate professional growth maintain equipment/supplies and competently initiate/maintain IV therapy.
To be successful in this role you will possess a strong clinical foundation meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Your commitment to professional conduct and high-quality patient care is essential.
**This is a CNA represented role.
Job Requirements
- High School Graduate or High School GED
- Satisfactory completion of a formal Registered Nurse program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions or military training that is equivalent to an accredited Registered Nurse program (determination made by DH Medical Foundation Human Resources departmentin conjunction with the State Division of Allied Health Professionals)
- Current and valid CA Registered Nurse license
- Current and valid Basic Life Support - CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Cancer Chemotherapy Provider certification
- Oncology Certified Nurse
Preferred:
- Prior chemo mixing experience
