Bethel School District is seeking qualified applicants for an Assistant Swim Coach at Willamette High School.

The WHS AssistantSwim Coach will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage all aspects of their high school team including practice/meet organization
  • Work closely Swim Coach and Program
  • Provide regular communication with parents/families/school personnel
  • Regularly track the academic progress of all student athletes in the program and facilitate necessary supports to ensure their academic eligibility

The WHS Assistant Swim Coach reports directly to the Head Swim Coach AthleticDirector and Principal and/or their designee.

All coaches recommended for hire must complete the following prior to employment:

  1. NFHS Coaching Fundamentals Certification ()
  2. Completion of Safe Schools Coursework (annually) and other Bethel School District Requirements
  3. Fingerprinting/Criminal Background Check
  4. Completion of NFHS Concussion in Sports Certification (annually) ()
  5. Completion of OSAA Steroid Prevention Course (every four years)
  6. Completion of NFHS Heat Acclimatization and Heat Illness Prevention (every two years) ()
  7. Completion of NFHS Engaging Effectively With Parents ()
  8. Completion of NFHS Creating a Safe and Respectful Environment ()

Upon offer of employment applicants must obtain a fingerprint clearance from the Oregon Department of Education through a process authorized by the Bethel School District. Applicants would be responsible for the one-time fingerprint clearance fee.
