A Senior Staff Accountant LBS Journal Entry Accounting who excels in this role:
Manages the preparation oversight and review of journal entries for a portfolio of facilities and site liaisons
Works closely with LBS Finance HSC Accounting and facility finance teams on the treatment of complex accounting transactions
Reviews journal entries for appropriateness and accounting validity ensuring entries are properly supported and compliant with standards
Collaborates heavily with Site Liaison and Technical Accounting teams during the month-end close
Researches and resolves technical accounting issues providing supporting documentation and justification
Performs general ledger subledger and journal entry analysis using tools such as OTBI SmartView and other reporting systems
Operates in alignment with service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure facilities receive accurate and timely support
Identifies opportunities to improve processes and promote standardization
Provides training and guidance to support team development
Maintains regular and reliable attendance
Performs other duties as assigned

Applicants should have a strong background in accounting journal entry preparation and financial analysis. Additional requirements include:
Bachelors Degree required preferably in Accounting or Finance
5 years of accounting experience
CPA designation preferred (active license maintained if applicable)
Strong understanding of GL accounting journal entry support standards and internal controls
Experience with Oracle reporting tools such as OTBI and SmartView preferred
Ability to manage competing priorities within month-end close timelines
Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills
