Parliamentary Service supports New Zealands democracy by providing exceptional services to Members of Parliament and the public. Our Catering Team is passionate about showcasing Aotearoas finest produce and delivering memorable hospitality experiences across venues like Copperfields Café Pint of Order bar and Bellamys restaurant.

  • Inspire and train a motivated professional café team.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service in a high-volume high-profile setting.
  • Collaborate with chefs to ensure food quality and presentation.
  • Manage POS systems cash handling and daily financial records.
  • Champion the values of Parliamentary Service: Integrity Manaakitanga Accountability Whanaungatanga and Empowerment.
  • Build strong relationships with customers stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Support marketing and in-house promotions.

AsCafé Manager youll lead the Copperfields crew ensuring top-tier service and seamless operations. Youll work closely with the kitchen team to maintain high-quality offerings and be part of the wider catering leadership team driving excellence across the precinct.

The starting salary for this role is approx. $83135 per annum. Final appointments will reflect your skills and experience with the full salary range allowing for progression over time. The role is scheduled to commence in late January 2026.

  • Proven experience managing a busy café or hospitality outlet (2 years minimum).
  • Advanced coffee knowledge and speciality coffee industry trends.
  • Friendly engaging and customer-focused with a VIP mindset.
  • Skilled in team leadership rostering and training.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Professional presentation and a can-do attitude.
  • Passionate about creating a welcoming environment.
