Founded in 2017 in Utrecht Vitestro is pioneering the future of blood collection with the Aletta Autonomous Robotic Phlebotomy Device (ARPD). This groundbreaking medical device combines advanced multi-modal imaging (near-infrared ultrasound and Doppler ultrasound) with robotics and AI to perform the entire diagnostic blood draw procedure autonomously.
By addressing critical healthcare staffing shortages and improving patient experience Vitestro is transforming one of the most common and essential medical procedures. As we placed our first devices with customers we are now expanding our Service & Support organization to ensure successful implementation and long-term reliability.

Join us as our new MLOps Engineerin the Sensing and motion accuracy Team at Vitestro you will play a critical role in improving our machine learning models by enabling our engineering teams to get access to high-quality data train models efficiently and gain valuable insights into model performance. Job requirements
Your Responsibilities
In an agile environment you will:
Design implement and optimize cloud-based data processing and model training pipelines
Enable software engineers to get valuable insights into model training performance and ML data.
Enable engineers to efficiently and interactively experiment with data and models in a cloud environment
Enable efficient and traceable ML model deployments and model monitoring
Collaborate with software engineers and the clinical team to ensure new data can be annotated efficiently and with high quality
Work closely with functional architects and the cloud team to understand requirements and deliver secure and scalable ML pipelines in our AWS-based cloud platform
You will also have opportunities to grow by contributing to Machine learning projects.
What You Bring
A masters degree or PhD in Computer Science Applied Physics or a related field.
35 years in a machine learning or MLOps role.
Proficiency in Python and software engineering practices with the ability to coach others in Python design patterns.
Hands on experience with training and validating models.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Nice-to-Haves
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab).
Knowledge of MLOps tooling and AWS services that are commonly used for machine learning (SageMaker Step Functions Lambda functions ECR S3).
Experience with running models on edge devices.
Knowledge of data lakehouses and ETL tools.
Experience with data science techniques.
Exposure to the medical device industry and related standards.
