Responsibilities
Maintain a professional demeanour at all times in line with An Bord Altranais guidelines scope of practice and the organisations code of conduct.
Adhere to all uniform personal hygiene PPE and infection-control standards promoting best practice in hand hygiene and safety.
Assess plan implement and evaluate person-centred nursing care while prioritising individual resident needs.
Support a safe therapeutic nursing home environment that meets residents physical psychological and social needs.
Prepare and administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with company policy and An Bord Altranais guidelines.
Maintain the highest standards of resident hygiene dignity and personal care and assist in safeguarding residents belongings.
Provide compassionate palliative care to residents and emotional support to their families.
Lead by example foster a positive team culture and provide daily direction support and guidance to care staff.
Participate in staff induction training performance monitoring and appraisals supporting continuous professional development.
Address performance concerns issues or allegations promptly and professionally ensuring a safe and respectful working environment.
Requirements
- Candidates must be registered with NMBI
- At least two years of experience as a registered nurse is necessary.
- Outstanding leadership organizational and clinical abilities
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to make sound decisions
- A sincere interest in Elderly Care.
