Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor
Location: North West base with regional travel

The Opportunity
A growing main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery across a portfolio of commercial and mixed use projects. The business delivers design to handover schemes with a focus on quality repeat clients and long term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Lead cost planning tendering budgeting and commercial strategy from pre-construction through to completion
Manage procurement subcontractor selection contract administration and negotiation
Oversee valuations variations change control cost reporting and final accounts
Support delivery teams with commercial governance risk management and profitability control
Produce accurate commercial reports cash flow forecasts and recommendations for senior leadership
Build strong relationships with clients consultants subcontractors and internal stakeholders
What You Will Bring
Background as a Commercial Manager or Senior QS within construction ideally main contracting
Strong understanding of JCT contracts procurement routes and commercial controls
Proven experience managing commercial delivery on multi-discipline commercial builds
Confident negotiator with excellent financial control and reporting capability
Ability to work autonomously prioritise workload and maintain accuracy under pressure
Professional people centred approach with a focus on quality and long term client relationships
