Head of Upper Secondary

Wuxi Dipont School of Arts and Science (in partnership with Kings College School Wimbledon and Nanjing Foreign Language School) is seeking to appoint a Head of Upper Secondaryto join a learning community that integrates the best of international and Chinese educationfor an August 2026 start.

The Head of Upper Secondary is responsible for the day-to-day leadership strategic development and overall quality of the Upper Secondary School ensuring high standards aligned with the ethos of Nanjing Foreign Language School and Kings College School Wimbledon. The role oversees the design and implementation of A holistic curriculum including IGCSE A-Level and IBDPwhile driving continuous quality assurance staff development and effective communication across the school. Central duties include evaluating teaching staff fostering student leadership and key skills for future success strengthening community and parental engagement and supporting robust pastoral and co-curricular programmes including safeguarding. The Head of Upper Secondary works closely with the Executive Principal and Board of Governors to ensure cohesive operation across all sections of the school.

Background

Wuxi Dipont School of Arts and Sciencewas founded with the strong support of the Wuxi local government through a partnership between two world-leading schools Nanjing Foreign Language School China and Kings College School Wimbledon UK all of whom aimed to build a school of the future which focuses on providing well-rounded education. Itopened in September 2018 with 750 pupils and has a current enrollment of just under 2000 students. About you

• Bachelors degree; Masters degree preferred

• Must have administrative/management experience as head of department or similar position

• Familiar with the Cambridge and IB DP curriculum

• Knowledge of the Chinese National Curriculum is a plus

• Demonstrated interest in student development and optimism for students ability to learn and grow

• Ability to learn and apply local Chinese educational standards as well as new technologies

• Interest in and commitment to diversity equity and inclusion

• Ability to collaborate establish rapport and communicate in a Dual Language Immersion environment
