Internship / Working Student Flying Fuel Cell Control System Engineering (all genders)

Stricter emission requirements pose major challenges for the aviation industry. To achieve a reduction in climate-damaging exhaust gases engine manufacturers are particularly called upon to develop revolutionary propulsion concepts. A promising approach is the use of electric aircraft propulsion systems powered by fuel cell technology. At the center of these systems is the control system which coordinates the operating states of the fuel cell stack and its associated subsystems. The stack itself provides electrical energy while subsystems such as air hydrogen and cooling systems ensure the supply of reactants and the removal of heat and water. The control system plays a crucial role in monitoring and managing the interactions between these subsystems to ensure efficient safe and reliable operation.
