The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) operates Federal Correctional Institution Manchester (FCI Manchester) a medium-security federal prison for male offenders with an adjacent minimum-security prison camp. FCI Manchester houses over one thousand inmates and is managed by FBOP under the U.S. Department of Justice. Their facility provides security custody and inmate services including medical dental radiology education and rehabilitation programs.

Certified Radiology Technician
Federal Bureau of Prisons FCI/FPC Manchester 805 Fox Hollow Road Manchester KY 40962
Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM2:30 PM (30 hours/week max)
Position Summary
The Certified Radiology Technician performs all routine radiologic procedures for the incarcerated adult patient population using a GE Proteus XR/radiology system. This position includes imaging documentation scheduling equipment maintenance and quality assurance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a full range of radiology procedures (chest bone skull spine portable)
- Manage digital imaging: transmit retrieve and scan into BEMR
- Schedule radiographic exams and maintain logs/records
- Identify abnormalities and notify medical staff
- Prepare x-rays for interpretation and ensure continuity of care
- Perform QA tests equipment checks and maintenance reporting
- Assist with FDA inspections TJC readiness and program review
- Maintain infection control and universal precautions
- Provide patient support instructions and reassurance
Qualifications:
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Kentucky state radiology license (preferred/required per state law)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical radiology experience
- CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program
- Must submit resume copies of licenses diplomas CPR card and proof of insurability
Health & Security Requirements:
- Communicable disease clearance (including TB)
- Must pass a federal background check and drug screening
- Must comply with all institution security rules and documentation procedures
