To strengthen our EMEA Procurement team we are looking to hire a Procurement Manager to lead our Procurement team this position you will co-develop and execute the strategic direction for all categories in the European Chemicals portfolio.
Main Responsibilities :
- Work closely with the Global Procurement teams to ensure value creation for the business in the region.
- Work with the regional Product Leadership Teams to translate needs into multi-year roadmaps that deliver innovation differentiation and competitive advantage.
- Continuously scan and scout both the market and our existing supply base to facilitate supplier-driven innovation - bringing outside intelligence to our front-end organization.
- Partner with R&D to uncover and execute cost-out opportunities while also maintaining a healthy pipeline of new materials and supplier capabilities.
- Work together with Supply Chain & Operations to guarantee raw materials availability and quality while at the same time exploring opportunities to increase service value through reducing MOQs lead times and business continuity risks.
- Lead Chemicals Procurement in the region and represent the category at the European Procurement leadership team as well as across stakeholders and partners.
Qualifications :
Bachelor / Masters degree (focus on Polymer Science / Chemistry is a plus)
Prior experience (4y) in direct Procurement of Chemicals in an international (preferably MNO) environment
Prior experience and understanding of the global Chemical industry value chains cost drivers and dynamics
Strong Financial skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional talent in negotiating and networking
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster strong supplier relationships
Full professional proficiency in English
