Job Summary
We are looking for a Welding Inspector to support quality assurance within railway bogie frame production.
The role requires hands-on experience in welding and the ability to perform Visual Testing Level 2 (VT2) inspections according to ISO 9712 standards.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented precise and comfortable working in a production environment under a three-shift system.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections (VT2) of welded joints identifying potential defects such as cracks porosity lack of fusion undercut or shape irregularities.
- Evaluate welds according to relevant international standards (ISO 5817 EN 1090 EN 15085).
- Document and approve inspection results in accordance with internal and customer requirements.
- Apply and comply with inspection requirements as defined in EN 15085-5 and EN 15085-2.
- Understand the significance of welding classes CL1CL4 and perform inspections accordingly.
- Prepare documentation and inspection reports in the format required by railway industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure ongoing compliance and process improvement.
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications and Skills
- VT2 (Visual Testing Level 2 according to ISO 9712) certification mandatory.
- Hands-on welding experience essential.
- Knowledge of railway welding standards (EN 15085) required or to be obtained during employment.
- Fluent Hungarian mandatory; English an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and high tolerance for repetitive or routine inspection work.
- Ability to work reliably in a 3-shift on-site manufacturing environment.

- Previous experience in railway component manufacturing (bogie frames welded steel structures) is highly valued.
