Education
High School diploma or GED
Certification Registration and Licensure
Certified Mastectomy Fitter (CMF) through American Board for Certification in Orthotics Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC) or the Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC).
Experience
Newly certified Mastectomy Fitters encouraged to apply
Preferred 1-2 years experience
Responsibilities
Healthcare professional who specializes in breast prostheses post mastectomy and post reduction products/services.
Direct on-hands contact with patients
Taking measurements for mastectomy and/or breast reduction products
Ensures a proper fit for each patient; adjust or modify external breast prostheses bras and related supplies.
Follow up with patients for appointments to evaluate the fit and make adjustments as needed.
Provides patient education and services on how to properly use and maintain different types of products to help achieve comfort and symmetry.
Experience using various software packages including electronic medical records and Microsoft suite.
Activities include the purchase and management of inventory and office supplies cash management coding billing charge entry and payment posting.
Maintain orderly clean and attractive Boutique environment.
Ensure compliance with DNV and HIPPA regulations
Develops implements and monitors this patient focused service to promote a supportive and healing environment that enhances customer and staff satisfaction.
Communicate with patients staff and care providers in order to relay appropriate information.
Assist in marketing and promotes patient related products to Concord Hospital medical staff
Work in cooperation and under the supervision of the Director of Cancer Center and Boutique Manager
Serve as a resource to other staff members patients and volunteers.
