Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Florida drivers license.
- Valid ServSafe Manager Certification or the ability to obtain.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree from an accredited institution.
- Four (4) years of experience as a Food Service Worker in the Lee County Food and Nutrition Services program.
Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; organizational and management skills; mathematical skills.
- Manual dexterity skills to shred chop assemble and mix food items.
- Knowledge of pertinent regulations policies and procedures for the functional area of assignment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA Public Records Sunshine Law FERPA and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy public information and records retention.
- Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment materials practices computers and applications.
- Ability to professionally and effectively respond to customer needs and requests for service or assistance.
- Ability to work with and lead diverse groups of people.
- Interns must complete one (1) year of employment as an Assistant Manager in Lee County schools before applying for a Manager position.

- Assist the manager with computer and other technical skills/competencies to ensure the operation of the school-level food services program.
- Learn to keep accurate production commodity and financial records.
- Assist with food production and service of breakfast and lunch programs.
- Learn to maintain high standards in sanitation safety and use/care of equipment.
- Learn procedures for the purchase of all food and supplies.
- Assist training managers with storeroom controls and inventory.
- Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
- May assist new Food and Nutrition Services employees student employees or volunteers in becoming familiar with their assignments.
- Compile all requirements of the local state and federal Food and Nutrition Services programs.
