Company URL: AIRS Internship is an advanced opportunity for students who have participated in an Experiential Learning Project partnership between Berkley Financial Specialists and the University of Hartford to continue the development testing and refinement of the AIRS (AI Risk Summary) tool. AIRS Interns may also be asked to liaise with subsequent Experiential Learning Project teams to facilitate smooth hand-off and help troubleshoot issues as they arise.

• Access to the Berkley Network (and all technology resources needed to perform the duties required of this project) will continue to be provided via Virtual Desktop (standard and ADM permissions)
• Availability for minimum of 2 consecutive hours/week to be during standard Berkley Financial Specialists business hours (8am - 5pm); ideally these hours will be on-site at the Berkley Financial Specialists office in West Hartford CT to establish real-time connectivity to IT support resources (as needed) and provide progress updates to executive sponsors at scheduled intervals; these hours will be established in advance and should remain consistent throughout the duration of this internship
• The remaining (up to) 8 hours/week can be performed remotely at the discretion of the AIRS intern and with support and direction from Berkley Financial Specialists management
• Hours are logged in Berkleys internal systems so that compensation can be remitted
• Development of AIRS (AI Risk Summary) tool continue development in Azure OpenAI sandbox which includes maintaining technical documentation that would be necessary for ongoing support support progression from sandbox environment to production; advanced development may include linking AIRS to S&P CapIQ Pro API

• Refinement of AIRS (AI Risk Summary) tool improve UI (web application) capabilities to align with Berkley Financial Specialists underwriting/operations workflow automate output to user-friendly Word or PDF document

• Testing/Validation of AIRS (AI Risk Summary) tool work with Berkley Financial Specialists personnel to identify test cases that can be used to align human-driven output with AIRS output (text and risk grade)
• Facilitate hand off for any outstanding development or ongoing maintenance to designated team

Education

• Currently enrolled at the University of Hartford
• Student participant from an Experiential Learning Project partnership between Berkley Financial Specialists and the University of Hartford focused on the AIRS tool
• Technical acumen for AI development/testing/refinement coding languages web application development
• Basic computer skills including MS Office suite of product and other related programs
