About the job:

Based in The Hague Netherlands you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATOs Digital Endeavour. You will join The Air Command and Control (AirC2) Business Area. AirC2 ensures the harmonised planning implementation deployment evolution and support of the Air Command and Control (AirC2) and Ballistic Missile Defence (BMD) programmes as well as other assigned programmes. AirC2 is the procurement and implementation body of the NCI Agency charged with the effective planning execution delivery into service evolution and through-life logistic support of NATOs and assigned national AirC2 and BMD systems.

You will bring your skills and expertise to The Maritime Interface Service Area - responsible for the In-Service-Support (ISS) of the Ship-Shore-Ship-Buffer (SSSB) System and associated software family of products. The Maritime Interface Service Area provides cross domain capability between the Air Maritime domains ensuring the Operational User can coordinate Air and Maritime activity.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Principal Technician - Air and Maritime Systems to support the integration of capabilities on a specific integration and test platform focusing on the tools automation and baseline management in order to enable technical integration. They administer integration and test platforms development environments and tools to perform site deployments and capability upgrades and who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Network design

  • Software configuration

  • Content authoring

  • IT infrastructure

  • Systems installation and removal

About you

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

  • Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 3 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 5 years post-related experience.

  • Recent practical experience in system HW assembly cable assembly and small PCB assembly;

  • Knowledge of networking and digital communication (LAN / WAN) standards and techniques.

  • Knowledge of the security requirements in protected IT systems

  • Fluency in English both written and spoken
