JOB TITLE: Automotive Transmission Technician
REPORTS TO:Service Manager
LOCATION: Cincinnati OH
A SHORT LIST OF YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct thorough diagnostic tests to identify transmission and drivetrain problems
- Perform repairs and rebuilds on manual and automatic transmissions
- Inspect and replace worn-out or damaged parts
- Perform routine maintenance including fluid changes and filter replacements
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Keep accurate records of repairs parts used and labor time
- Communicate effectively with customers providing detailed explanations of repairs and recommendations
WERE LOOKING FOR A SELF-STARTER WHO MEETS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
- 2 years of experience in transmission diagnostics and repair
- Strong knowledge of automatic and manual transmissions
- Proficient with diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- ASE certification or Manufacture certifications a plus
- Attention to detail problem-solving skills and reliability
