Job Summary

Summary:

Under the direction of the General Manager the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing the staff and functions of Production Control Inventory Control Warehouse Lamination Raw Material Purchasing and Program Management; including hiring training evaluating and termination of employment. The PC Manager will evaluate the current company performance in alignment with customer delivery and supplier management; develop and implement an effective supply chain structure to support the manufacturing processes; provide strategic direction for order prioritization; promote continuous improvement; develop and direct the activities of department staff.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor incoming orders and update and manage master schedule customer deliveries and customer expedites.

Manage internal communications with manufacturing engineering Sales and other support departments to effectively meet customer demands.

Analyze and approve material requisitions for each order in the MRP system.

Set standard lead times for all contracted items; quarterly reviews of individual lead times for such contracts as Boeing.

Represent Lamsco West Inc as a direct focal for customer production readiness audits.

Inventory management and ownership; direct yearly inventory counts/audits.

Forecast material usage and manage material Min/Max quarterly.

Develops and executes purchasing strategy.

Responsible for the overall resources negotiations and purchasing of all materials.

Resolve vendor issues that may affect manufacturing and customer needs.

Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying materials.

Additional Duties as assigned.

Requirements: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:

  • Bachelor Degree from 4 year accredited college desired.
  • Must have minimum six months of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have good verbal and written English communication skills; ability to work from written and verbal instructions.
  • Must have a working knowledge of PC software including MS Office; must have strong excel and analytical skills and experience with MRP systems.

  • Must be a self-starter and quick learner and able to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Must be organized and have excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to understand and apply problem solving skills to seek continuous improvement in expediting on-time delivery to customers.
  • Manual dexterity to perform job functions within established time frame.
  • Correctable vision and hearing.
  • Ability to sit walk stand hear talk bend waist and neck squat twist neck and waist use hands to grasp manipulate push pull reach; ability to SIT up to 75% of the day; ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
