Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
-
Perform advanced avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.
-
Install and functionally test electrical/avionics components and systems in accordance with engineering specifications drawings and maintenance manuals.
-
Ensure high-quality efficient installations; troubleshoot processes and concepts to deliver timely quality repairs.
-
Repair or replace defective components and wiring using approved practices including splicing soldering and pinning.
-
Perform and comply with required engineering changes and modifications.
-
Set up and operate test equipment; conduct functional and operational tests to assess performance and reliability.
-
Ensure all work is properly documented and prepared for inspection.
-
Test and maintain test equipment electronic systems and components.
-
Adhere to company programs including FOD control tool control 5S and all safety regulations.
-
Adapt effectively to sudden schedule changes.
-
Support aircraft certification and final phase testing including flight tests as required.
-
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field or two (2) years of accredited aviation electronics schooling plus two (2) years of related experience.
-
Preferred proficiency in troubleshooting other aircraft systems/disciplines (e.g. hydraulics landing gear flight controls environmental systems or structural installations/repairs).
-
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics.
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-
Ability to climb stairs and ladders work in confined spaces and lift up to 50 lbs.
-
A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
-
FCC license preferred.
-
NCATT certification preferred.
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
