Wastewater Management oversees all aspects of wastewater functions including the construction operation maintenance of the Citys sanitary and storm systems and responding to customer inquiries regarding sewage and storm drainage service charges.
As a Cement Finisher you will:
Set forms for concrete flatwork
Check forms for conformance to plans
Order concrete per approved plans and specifications
Spread level and smooth concrete utilizing tools provided
Cut in joints to prevent uncontrolled cracking of the concrete slab
Monitor the weather and take steps to prevent damage to the fresh concrete placement
Broom finish concrete flatwork
Guide and mentor laborers during the concrete placements
Clean and maintain concrete tools
Quality control of form setting and concrete placement
Sets forms mixes pours and stamps and finishes concrete for curb and gutter sidewalks alleys roadways and driveway cuts
Lays out and plans the installation of concrete projects and maintains and repairs concrete.
Observes all common safety practices associated with equipment operations.
Estimates materials labor and equipment costs.
Repair of storm and sanitary sewers
Concrete repairs of storm inlets
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested - such as snow removal duties

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience skills and characteristics:
Have basic knowledge in concrete flat work that include but not limited to sidewalks alleys curb and gutter form setting and rebar setting.
Basic knowledge with hand tools and power tools
Willing to perform other job duties in the department relating to Storm and Sanitary Repairs
Experience reading blueprints
Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience Requirement: Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program for cement finishing or three (3) years of experience in cement pouring and finishing.
Education/Experience Equivalency: A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements
License/Certifications: This job requires driving. Requires a valid Drivers License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment. By position requires a valid Colorado Commercial Drivers License (CDL B) with appropriate endorsements by the end of probation.
