As Business Development Coordinator you will support SEGs strategic growth by identifying new opportunities expanding client relationships and strengthening SEGs position across the Southwest and beyond. This role requires a collaborative mindset and a strategic approach to relationship building marketing and revenue generation. Youll play a key role in expanding SEGs market presence through intelligent positioning client engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Market Support
- Support the development and rollout of SEGs business development strategies in coordination with senior leadership.
- Help prepare capture materials and assist with pursuit planning for key clients markets and regionsincluding Dallas North Carolina and KSA.
- Research market trends competitors and industry activities through publications websites and events and summarize findings for the team.
- Assist in coordinating meetings and communications with partners such as contractors developers and consultants.
Client Engagement & Relationship Development
- Help identify potential opportunities through research CRM updates and outreach coordination.
- Attend select industry events and support SEGs involvement in associations committees and networking activities.
- Assist in maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients through consistent follow-up and organized communication.
- Support pre-positioning efforts by preparing materials coordinating meetings and tracking upcoming RFPs.
Internal Coordination & Team Support
- Collaborate with technical and marketing teams to prepare proposals presentations and pursuit deliverables.
- Support internal debriefs by gathering feedback documenting lessons learned and helping track action items.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication to help ensure smooth project handoffs and identify areas for potential additional services.
Communications & Proposal Development
- Assist in proposal development by drafting sections collecting information and ensuring quality control.
- Help plan and coordinate local and regional client events outreach efforts and follow-up activities.
- Maintain CRM records ensuring contact and opportunity details are accurate and up to date.
- Support SEGs presence at conferences and community events through planning logistics and onsite coordination.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business administration Engineering Marketing Communications or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of business development experience with experience in the AEC (Architecture Engineering Construction) industry preferred.
- Proven success in developing new business exceeding sales targets and managing pursuit efforts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in proposal writing and presentation development.
- Ability to build trust with internal teams and external clients through collaboration integrity and follow-through.
- Willingness to travel to client sites events and industry conferences as needed.
