TheEnterpriseArchitectJob Overview:
TheEnterprise Architect(EA)role is part of theSolutionsArchitect (SA)job family.TheSAsprimary function is to work collaboratively withsalesteamsidentifyingappropriate F5solutions to address customers business needs. They providetechnicalexpertiseand business understanding across specific or multiple industries.Theychampion ourcustomers requirements and ensure they areunderstoodacross other teams within F5 such asSales Marketing Product Management and Product Development.
TheSA alsosharesknowledgeand educates thesolutionengineering team internally and externally via whitepapers trainingsdemosblogs tech-tipspresentationsetc.
To be effective an SA needs toblend strong business acumen withexcellent technical skills and knowledge on both F5 products and the eco-system that we work in.He/she needs to be an authority in his/her field ofexpertiseand act as a trusted advisor towards our customers.
While the traditional Solution Architect is focusedongoingdeepona specific technology the Enterprise Architect role is meant tobe muchbroaderand wider.The primary role of thetraditionalSA is to provide technicalexpertisein hisspecific domainwhilethe EA is driving architectural discussions with our customershelping account teamsdevelop opportunitiesto broaden our coverage in their accounts with our full portfolio of solutions.
Whatyoulldo
Work on strategic opportunitieswithin the assigned region/area of specializationand providearchitectural guidanceandtechnicalexpertisefor the entire F5 portfolio.The goal is to listencarefullyto the customers requirements and then position the best possible solution within the F5 portfolioaddressing those requirements.
Play the role of an evangelistandthought leaderin the area oftechnical specialization
Collaboratewith other solution architectsand internal business leadersto share ideasidentifycommon customer pain points andtrendsand identifyappropriate F5solutions
Work closely with our internal productmanagementand servicesteams and provide technical and business understanding for product launches and updates that would be beneficial for our customers
Provide mentorship as needed to the Solution Engineering community in the organizationand make sure they are enabled and equipped to position our solutions correctly

Act as a liaison between Sales and Marketing Product Management Product Development
