Wastewater Management oversees all aspects of wastewater functions including the construction operation maintenance of the Citys sanitary and storm systems and responding to customer inquiries regarding sewage and storm drainage service charges.
As a Equipment Operator you will:
Operate light to medium sized equipment for maintenance and minor construction projects (tandem axel dump trucks skid steers and power tools).
Complete storm and sanitary repairs
General asphalt and concrete placement and repair
Trench and excavate surroundings
Confined space entries
Sewer and pipe main fitting
Inspects vehicle for loose parts damaged or worn tires proper air pressure in tires and other items affecting its safe operation and completes a pre/post trip inspection as defined by federal guidelines.
Participates in snow removal duties

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience skills and characteristics:
Previous experience in the construction industry.
Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
Knowledge of operating equipment and the use of small to medium hand tools.
Experience trenching and excavating surroundings
Applicants for commercial driving positions must demonstrate proficiency in the English language. Commercial drivers must be able to do the following in English:
Converse with the general public
Understand highway traffic signs and signals
Respond to official inquiries
Make entries on reports and records
Education Requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED HiSET or TASC Certificate
Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of general labor experience which must include six (6) months of experience operating light to medium sized equipment.
Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate experience may be substituted for the minimum education requirements.
License/Certifications: This job requires driving. Requires a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL B) with appropriate endorsements at the time of application. By position requires a CDL Tanker Endorsement within 6 months of hire. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment
