Temporary Educational Assistant
Bohemia Elementary

2025-2026 school year
Under the supervision of the building administrator and teaching staff the educational assistant provides support to teachers and students. This position helps students develop reading/writing/and mathematic skills in the classroom and social/behavioral support in community settings.
This position requires strong student behavior management and excellent communication with students staff and parents. The educational assistant must have strong organizational skills. The position may require the assignment of other duties as required in order to provide an education program for students.

Qualifications
- The ability to help school staff establish and maintain a positive climate of learning
- Excellent student behavior management skills
- Experience and skills in reading/writing and math instruction
- Experience working with special needs students and small groups is desired.
- Consideration will be given to applicants who are fluent in Spanish/Mam and/or applicants who are bi-cultural or multi-cultural.
