Job Description
Position Title: Contractor Validation Engineering
Reports to: Specialist Validation Engineering
Number of Direct Reports: 0
1. Primary Responsibilities
The role of the Validation Contractor is to prepare qualification documentation for:
New equipment
Existing equipment undergoing modifications
Utility systems (HVAC compressed air purified water BMS etc.)
The role also includes:
Coordinating and executing tests described in the protocols and coordinating required corrective actions with other departments
Preparing and maintaining all documentation related to equipment qualification
Providing technical expertise on all aspects related to qualification
2. Management Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
3. Key Working Relationships (Internal / External)
Internal Partners: Production Engineering Projects HSE Quality Procurement
External Partners: Service providers and contractors involved in projects
4. Required Knowledge and Skills
a) Education
Bachelors degree in Science or Engineering
b) Languages
French and English
c) Experience and Specific Knowledge
5 years of experience in validation
Knowledge of Canadian and American standards
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
d) Specific Technical Skills
Automation / Industrial IT
Energy and utility systems (air water etc.)
HSE
GMP
Regulations and equipment
