Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Library and Information Science
- Must be a PRC License holder (Registered Librarian)
- At least 2 - 4 years of immersive experience ingeneral library work and general library operations
- Experience in creating library community programs that increase library services awareness
- Experience in application of new library trends and implementation of patron retention programs
- Excellent command of the English Language (both written and verbal)
- Interest and enthusiasm in the field of Traditional and Digital Arts Multimedia Information Technology and Game Development
- Ability to work around new software and technology is an advantage
Responsibilities:
- Classify and catalog library materials using standard systems; maintain and update bibliographic records in the library system (KOHA)
- Ensure online resources and digital subscriptions are up-to-date and accessible.
- Support inventory checks and assist in managing new acquisitions and participate in acquisition meetings
- Assist students faculty and staff in locating and utilizing LRC resources and recommend materials aligned with their academic needs and interests.
- Handle book circulation and equipment lending services and conduct orientation sessions for new students and faculty.
- Maintain cleanliness safety and order in all library areas and monitor use of study spaces and ensure proper reservations.
- Help develop and implement library policies and procedures.
- Manage library communications including social media and inquiries.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of the CIIT Archive Project.
- Maintain and update the Student Works Digital Archive with curated outputs such as theses capstones and course output/projects/.
