Job Summary

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Rental Equipment Technician is responsible for assisting with planning establishing implementing and maintaining a variety of rental equipment processes and strategies that support the operations of the company. The coordination of such activities is then executed by the fleet facilities and processing team under the direct supervision of the Supervisor. The incumbent reports directly to the Fleet and Facilities Manager in the Operations Department.

Overall Responsibilities:

Ensure all rental equipment is maintained and ready for safe use

Organize preventive maintenance plans and execute according to plan

Receive and fulfill rental and equipment resource requests
Assign tank and equipment to resource requests
Ensures proper paperwork is fully utilized for all rentals
Coordinate rental returns
Manage supply allocation of rental equipment

Be the main POC for equipment and vehicle rentals
Accept incoming equipment and clean/prepare as needed for future use

Enforce safety and quality practices.

Manage associated databases and sources of information

Provide back-up services for Facilities Warehouse and Processing when needed.

FACILITIES

Assist with maintenance cleanliness and operations of all PCS facilities
Maintain appropriate inventory of all tools and equipment.
Ensure work performed meets specifications and established standards.

WAREHOUSE RESPONSIBLITIES

Ensure job pick orders are completed as necessary
Overall warehouse organization and execution
Ensure warehouse open hours support Operations Department needs

PROCESSING RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate with scientists on processing procedures
Ensure proper execution of hazardous/non-hazardous waste check in process
Ensure proper execution of processing various hazardous waste
Ensure proper execution of waste processing to ensure available capacity for incoming materials

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Enthusiastic support for PCS core values (Integrity Professionalism Commitment Service)
High School Education or equivalent
Valid US Drivers license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift carry push and pull up to 50lbs on a regular basis
Ability to safely perform routine maintenance and cleaning tasks on equipment including bending kneeling reaching and working in confined or elevated areas.
Ability to enter confined spaces.
Experience in fleet and /or rental equipment operations
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Teams Outlook Excel and work order management and maintenance software (Samsara NetSuite).
Effective interpersonal skills with Customers Sales & Operations
Proficient in both written and oral communication
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Flexible and able to work evenings holidays and weekends as necessary based on business need

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

3 years of rental equipment operations

Understanding of federal state and city safety requirements including OSHA
Strong organizational skills
Capable of functioning independently

Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills (strong training and interpersonal skills)
Capable of managing multiple projects
Be able to work in an environment with urgent deadlines
Be able to solve problems in time sensitive situations
