Sr Mgr, PCBA Ops Engr, Amazon Leo

Leo is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Were seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead and drive Manufacturing Engineering and Manufacturing Test Engineering for Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing across Amazon Leos satellite constellation. This role will be instrumental in building and scaling our PCBA manufacturing solution to support the production of thousands of satellites.

Key job responsibilities
Lead coach and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Manufacturing Test Engineers

Implement and lead a comprehensive process to aggregate provide implement and track Design for Manufacturing and Design for Test with the Design Engineering teams

Measure and track production health metrics at our contract manufacturers

Drive yield (both first pass and realized) improvements at our contract manufacturers for both manufacturing and test processes

Report status to senior leadership in a clear and succinct manner

Develop and implement best practices within the team while ingesting and replicating best practices from other teams

Lead team to execute annual improvement plans

- 5 years of manufacturing process industrial engineering experience
- 10 years of engineering team management experience
- Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field
- Experience in engineering team management
- Experience in manufacturing process or industrial engineering
- Experience developing and testing mechanical robotics equipment
- Experience in system-level integration
- Experience with DFx (cost test manufacturing)

- Masters degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of MS Excel AutoCAD MS Project and software for technical document writing such as Visio Word or PowerPoint
- Experience in technical leadership of development testing and implementation of large-scale complex technology projects

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
