Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate creative and experiencedLead Pre-Kindergarten Teacherto join our dedicated early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about child development possess strong classroom management skills and foster a warm engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with early learning standards.
- Foster a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that supports childrens social emotional cognitive and physical development.
- Assess and document childrens progress through observations portfolios and parent-teacher conferences.
- Build strong partnerships with families through ongoing communication and collaboration.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides.
- Ensure the health safety and well-being of all children in your care.
- Maintain compliance withNew Jersey Department of Children and Families Office of Licensing (DCF OOL)andNew Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE)regulations.
Qualifications (State of New Jersey Requirements):
- Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field OR CDA (required).
- Successful completion of criminal background check including fingerprinting through the New Jersey Department of Education.
- Up-to-date Mantoux (tuberculosis) test and medical clearance.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire).
- Minimum of 2 years of lead teaching experience in a Pre-K or preschool setting (preferred).
- Strong understanding of child development and best practices in early education.
- Familiarity with tools such as Teaching Strategies GOLD Creative Curriculum or other state-aligned assessments (required).
