Job Summary
JOB DETAILS
Pay Rate: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Fit and Weld in a fast-paced production shop under the direction of the Supervisor following established procedures and approved processes. Manage the scheduling activities of the shop floor. Able to identify personnel shortages from day to day
- Assist supervisor with production scheduling operations in your department so they are producing on schedule to be manufactured on time
- Plan schedule assemble pre-engineered building components using GMAW and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders meet inventory requirements and deliver quality manufactured products in a timely fashion
- Communicate line problems parts shortages engineering problems etc. to management
- Maintain daily communication with team members and management to plan for the day/week/month
- Continuously seek new and innovative ways to solve problems while maintaining focus on continuous improvement
- Support team leaders/members in order to implement quality and productivity improvements through continuous improvement projects
- Assist with Human Resources related functions including employee hiring and retention performance reviews progressive discipline and enforcement of Cornerstones policies and procedures
- Emphasis on developing labor cost reduction system as well as maximizing efficiency
- Balance safety quality productivity and employee morale to achieve positive results in all areas
- Ensure KPI metrics goals for Safety Quality Delivery Cost and Team are met.
Qualifications :
- High school GED or equivalent required welding trade school certificate of completion or Associates degree in Welding preferred.
- Minimum 3 yrs. recent experience in manufacturing
- Thorough knowledge of team building processes
- Has attained full proficiency in M.I.G. welding and Plasma Arc cutting.
- Production planning background preferred
- Safety oriented must adhere to all company safety policies
- Exposure to 5S & Rapid Improvement programs preferred
- Quality driven
- Efficiency driven
- Interpret blueprint drawings
- Excel/Word experience is preferred
- Works under moderate supervision
- Reports to a manager or supervisor
- Over-head crane experience preferred
- Willingness to communicate verbally in group meetings
