We are currently recruiting a OLE Engineer with specific expertise in basic design and HSR design to be based in the Spain Enterprise Capabilities Office in Madrid. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement incorporating a combination of both in-office and remote working schedules as outlined below.
The successful candidate will be managing the OLE design activities for international railway projects.
OLE & Simulation is part of the Railway Systems department (multidisciplinary team with over 50 people). Our office has an established track record of successfully delivering OLE & Simulations works for many years throughout UK the USA and Australia not to mention Canada or Middle East among others. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects being part of a diverse and multicultural team for the Europe Enterprise Capabilities Center (Poland/Spain).
We are an ambitious and experienced team and value the diversity of technical capabilities as we encourage for our team members to get involved with other disciplines so we can reach excellence in our work.
As so the candidates responsibilities will include the following:
- Development of technical reports drawings layouts structural design loading cases
- Management of deliverables and development of the documentation associated with the project.
- Review of technical deliverables.
- Development of technical specifications.
- Establishing interfaces with systems/disciplines/stakeholders
- Attend interdisciplinary reviews
- Manage a project team under his/her supervision
- Quality control management
- Review of basic design elements
- Involvement in the production of biddings and tenders with other disciplines of the Railway Systems department but also with other departments (civils linear infrastructures).
Qualifications :
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience
- Previous experience in OLE/OCS projects (new electrification and renewals) along with an understanding of the railway industry.
- Proficiency in the use of CAD tools - Microstation / AUTOCAD
- It is desirable for the candidate to know structural assessment software and BIM environment.
- Our playing field is the world and thats why we need to speak English fluently. If you also speak any other language it will be more than welcome.
- We are looking for proactive people with a highly collaborative attitude that constantly looks for new challenges. Technical capabilities are fundamental but we value highly interpersonal skills and a Good fitment of the new member into the team.
Preferred qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering BEng or MEng degree.
- Chartered Engineer in the US Canada UK or Australia
