Job Title:Technician II Industrial Mechanical

Location:Richmond VA

What we are looking for:

A Technician II Industrial Mechanical will have experience in a manufacturing environment installing repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment as well as the physical structure of an industrial facility

Essential Competencies:

  • Observe and inspect our machinery and facility and to make recommendations for changes in procedures and structures.
  • Install maintain inspect and initiate repairs and correction of machinery and equipment.
  • Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers electrical and electronic components of automated machinery.
  • Locate parts and prices to effect repairs complete required forms for purchases.
  • Use the National Electrical Code manuals schematic diagrams and blueprints to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic components of machinery and associated equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed using Fixx work order system.
  • Keep work area in clean safe and orderly manner
  • Operate forklift or boom lift.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Quantifiable Competencies:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years in Industrial Mechanical/Machinist
  • 2 years or more in machine based Industrial Electrical/Electronics
  • Be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to operate various Saws drills bench tools and hand tools.
  • Familiar with work order systems

Preferred Competencies:

  • Certification
  • High School and Trade School or Apprenticeship.

Essential Physical/Environmental Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee must be able to work at heights over 100 feet occasionally.
  • Occasional overtime and extended hours maybe needed.
